Originating from the black volcanic rock of Mount Etna on the island of Sicily, Italy, it is formed by the cooling and solidification of basaltic magma. Natural siliceous mineral veins run through the rock body like lava flow trails, creating flowing textures with strong black-and-white contrast. It is the variety with the strongest textural tension among volcanic luxury stones. The product restores the raw volcanic rock’s native flowing vein texture: the dense ink-black base is heavy and pure, while the white siliceous veins unfold expansively and grandly like surging rivers, with crisp, well-defined boundaries and no blurring. The glossy glaze softens the roughness of volcanic rock and enhances a refined luxury-stone quality.
